Tokaido is beautiful board game, where players take on the role of pilgrims travelling the Tokaido route during the edo period in Japan. In the game players take turns travelling to different events on the route, such as hot springs, meeting travelers, or sightseeing locations. The player who is furthest back on the route always takes their turn first. Once all players arrive at the inn at the end on the route, they begin tallying points given for the different events they have visited during their journey. Tokaido is a beautiful game for the entire family, each of the game pieces is beautiful and endows the game with a zen mood.
